Trusted Sites list in Internet Explorer

Some features in Hectares BC require allowing downloads from all sites, or specifically from http://hectaresbc.org, to function properly. The following provides instructions to do this.

Adding HectaresBC.org to the Trusted Sites list

To allow downloading for all sites:
1) In Internet Explorer, open the Tools menu and choose Internet Options. Click on the Security tab.

2) Click on the Internet zone.
3) Click on the Custom Level button.

4) Scroll down to find the Downloads section. Check Enable for "Automatic prompting for file downloads" and "File download".

5) Click the OK button to close the Security Settings window.
6) Click the OK button to close the Internet Options window.

To add Hectares BC to the list of Trusted Sites:
1) In Internet Explorer, open the Tools menu and choose Internet Options. Click on the Security tab.

2) Click on the Trusted sites zone.
3) Click the Sites button.

4) Uncheck "Require server verification".
5) Enter http://hectaresbc.org and click the Add button.

6) Click the Close button.
7) Click on the Custom Level button.

8) Scroll down to find the Downloads section. Check Enable for "Automatic prompting for file downloads" and "File download".

9) Click the OK button to close the Security Settings window.
10) Click the OK button to close the Internet Options window.
